Summertime

Kian "graduated" from preschool last week.  In the teachers congratulations speech they said how much they loved to hear Kian pray and that he was a leader.  I walked away from that school with tears and so much appreciation for Miss Debbie and Miss Jane and all the prayers and encouragement.   He'll be going to a public magnet school for Kindergarten next year.  We're excited but nervous all at the same time.

We took the kids to the Portland Zoo last weekend to celebrate the end of preschool.  It was a lot of work for Randall and I but the kids had a blast. ;)  Kian's favorite were the bats and Lily liked it all .  The polar bears were Randall's favorite (he told me to add that:).

Randall got a BMX bike for his (early) birthday (it's June 5th).  He has been taking Kian on dirt bike trails and they entered their 1st BMX bike race today.  Randall won 1st place in one race and Kian won 3rd place in all three races, although there were only 3 kids.  :)  He was SO excited to receive the 3rd place ribbon!  So far this has been a great way for Kian to earn points with good behavior towards something he really likes to do with Daddy.  We're hoping this  helps cut down on the amount of tantrums.  Each day he can earn a chip, with good behavior, and once he earns 3 chips he gets to go race.  On top of the marble jar system and allowance money it's a lot to keep up on but he seems to do really well with them all.  I asked Lily what she wants to do this summer and she said swim, so swimming lessons are next on the list.  Hope this blog is better than the last one (for those of you who complained it was boring, Rachel!).  LOL
videoI'm spending a lot of my free time trying to think of ways to raise money for MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers), an organization I've been apart of for a couple of years now and have just recently decided to step up and be involved in leadership.

Our 1st post on our 1st blog

I cannot believe this is our first blog ever, for how much I give everyone else a bad time about not being computer savvy.  This is for all our friends and family who we don't get to see very often and miss so much.  Hope you enjoy it!
